Day Two

Four-tape edges to prevent more smudges
Five-second coat-dab on cobalt with a little white
Six-Charlie mixes cobalt and sunny yellow to swath a green stripe
Seven-more mixing, turquoise as deep as a stream, more yellow, hatches
Eight-thicker brushes, more yellow

A Van Goghy stripe whirls and twirls
I am so excited

Day One

Paint Markers Crayons Tile
The essence of starry night eludes my touch
So again I try.
No one asks me why I try this again,
But they used to.

One-mark a rectangle
Two-I sketch the sky, Charlie sketches the village and hills
I love this already
Charlie's village is a perfect gift
Thanks mom
Three-the first coat of paint, cobalt with a little black
This is so much fun!

The Beginning of My Starry Night

Has anything ever been so
beautiful and lovely that
it steals your breath
away?

a child’s smile
puppies
a lover’s kiss
a friend’s warm
embrace

The nuance of man’s soul echoes in his art-
his art being the path Christ travels the earth.

song dance
music food wine
the written word
stories told on the wind
paint crayons charcoal

My thudding heart can barely contain the
awe.

Knowing that the
ethereal glow
of a moonlit night,
the fire of a billion
stars
can open eyes and
Inspire art.

This wall is for me
the opportunity to
capture the brilliance
of a starry night.
